We are a professional association responsible for supporting psychiatrists of Sri Lankan origin, throughout their careers from training through to retirement, and in setting and raising standards of psychiatry in the Australia & New Zealand

Alongside our primary role of supporting psychiatrists from training to retirement and setting standards, we also offer continuous education and collaboration opportunities. Our resources include CPD activities, workshops, and networking events, fostering a cohesive community dedicated to academic, social and professional development. Join us in shaping the future of psychiatry and mental health in Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

SLPAANZ's mission is to empower and support Sri Lankan psychiatrists in Australia and New Zealand through advocacy, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative partnerships. We enhance professional, academic, and social development while fostering mental health awareness and wellbeing in the community. Together, we aim to positively impact mental healthcare outcomes and promote a healthier society.
